Accessibility features in-store
-
Mobility access
Entrance is wheelchair and mobility device-friendly with a ramp and wide-opening doors. We have a smaller ramp at the door, and have a secondary set of larger ramps.
Interior layout accommodates mobility devices and prams.
-
Sensory considerations
Our store does not use aerosol sprays. We strive towards a scent-minimised environment but occasionally there is an oil infuser and candles.
There is occasionally quiet background music playing; you may request this be turned off beforehand or in-store.
-
Lighting
During the day you can expect bright overhead lights along with softer lamps in corners. For evening events, the overheads will be switched off.
-
Communication
We are in the process of researching a hearing loop. If this is something you can assist in funding, please reach out to us. We will notify customers online and in-store when available.
-
Seating
A variety of seating options are available to accommodate many body sizes, if you find there is not seating available for you please let us know so we can accommodate you on your next visit. If you are attending an event and have seating requirements, let us know and we will reserve appropriate seat(s) for you.
-
Amenities
We plan to have an accessible toilet in the future but currently we only have a staff toilet, which is reached via a small (~3cm) and a large (~45cm) step. Available during private events.
-
General support
Complimentary teas, coffee, and snacks are provided. There are multiple spaces in which you can rest if during your visit you need some alone time in a separate space.
-
Staff
Our team includes individuals with a range of neurodivergencies and disabilities, and accommodating diverse access needs is very important to us.
Please contact us before or during your visit if you need specific accommodations or if you have feedback on improvements we can make.
